Project For Intellectual Disabled Children (Mentally Challenged)
A special programme for moderately and mildly (trainable ) mentally challenged children of 6 to 23 years .
The programme is offered with various sections by special educators which includes:
The children are offered the following in the programme
- Community Orientation
- Field Trips and Picnics
- Social behavior and Festival Celebration
- Life skills including household skills
- Parents meeting
- Self Help Skills
- Learning Three R's
- Training in Dance,Sports and Art
- Speech and Occupation Therapy
- Medical check up and follow up
- Participation in various competitions for Intellectually Disabled at local ,state and national level
- Training in various sports like Cricket, Badminton, Basketball, Athletics and Boccie
- Transportation is provided to enable regular attendance of the children.

LRMP Project ('Learn, Run, Move and Play' ) for Intellectually Disabled Children was initiated with the aim to promote and provide creative activities and quality sports training to special children and help them excel in the field. The activities help them develop a sense of self esteem, confidence and achievement through non-formal education techniques.
The children get an opportunity for training in fine arts, athletics, badminton, basketball, music and dance. Trained coaches and standard equipment are engaged for the programm.
All efforts are made for optimal benefit and individualized attention to the special children
BAL SARJAN PROGRAM
Programme for Municipal Corporation School Children
Bal Bhavan provides creative activities and training in various sports to the less privileged children from the Municipal Corporation schools during their school hours along with transport facilities, round the year. Children are transported to Bal Bhavan in the morning hours, and they participate in various creative and sporting activities for two hours and then they are transported back to school.
The children are offered activities like Creative Arts, Music, Library and Language development, Dance, Tennis, Cricket, Karate, Badminton,Basketball, Life skills etc. by trained and qualified Instructors.
